About 50 young adult ministers from across the archdiocese came together May 17 for a meal, prayer and conversation – in two languages. The bilingual Young Adult Contact Meeting was a first for the Archdiocese of Baltimore, which last year hosted English and Spanish versions of the same meeting.

St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore and the Saint Agnes Foundation recently came together with Pro Football Hall of Famer and legendary Baltimore Colts running back Lenny Moore and his family to recognize a $50,000 donation that was made to St. Agnes’ capital campaign in their honor.

WASHINGTON – Though officials at the University of Notre Dame are taking a lot of heat for inviting President Barack Obama to be this year’s commencement speaker, most Catholic college students interviewed by Catholic News Service said they would be thrilled if he spoke at their graduation.

In comparing the second President Bush’s position on life to President Obama’s, Jeannette Mollenkopf (CR, May 14) says she doesn’t “get it.” Perhaps I can help. Mollenkopf makes the point that Catholics criticize Obama for supporting abortion, but give Bush a pass for his support of capital punishment.
