BOOST Scholarship

Application Information

The State of Maryland enacted the BOOST program in 2016 to give K-12 students from lower-income families an opportunity to find the best educational fit for their needs by awarding applicants with scholarships to attend a nonpublic school.

Each year, Maryland’s BOOST Scholarship Program provides nearly $7.5 million in scholarships to eligible K-12 students toward tuition at a qualifying nonpublic school of their choice.

Who’s eligible for a BOOST Scholarship?

BOOST scholarship are available to public school students and current nonpublic school students whose family qualifies for free or reduced-price meals.  For a breakdown of household income cut-offs for FARMs, visit the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s website.

You must apply for BOOST through the State of Maryland. The State Department of Education’s application deadline for the 2023-2024 school year is June 30, 2023.  Please contact your Catholic school of choice for information on other forms of financial assistance that may be available for the upcoming school year.
