Welcome from the Leadership

The Department of Catholic Schools is dedicated to ensuring that our schools are vibrant communities of faith and learning in pursuit of knowledge and academic excellence. With guidance and oversight from the Archdiocesan School Board, our leadership team strives to strengthen and enhance our schools. Combining the best of tradition with innovations that meet the demands of the 21st century, our schools are postured to Rise Above.

Rise Above speaks to the heart of our mission and is at the core of why we do what we do. Of all the ways in which our Church is present in the lives of those we serve, Catholic schools are unique because they are where faith and reason come together to form our students. Created in the image of God, we seek to develop the unique gifts of each student with a commitment to service and excellence. Our graduates embrace higher education and, as a result, make significant contributions in their communities, our Church, our country, and our world.

Inspired by faith and gifted with curiosity and intellect, Catholic school students demonstrate great initiative, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence in all of their endeavors. A Catholic education calls students to global citizenship. It offers an experience that calls young people to walk with Christ; to accept Pope Francis’ challenge to “find new ways to spread the word of God to every corner of the world.”

We extend our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to you for choosing a Catholic school as your choice in education. We are privileged in the Archdiocese of Baltimore to be witness to the birth and incredible legacy of American Catholic schools. Whether you are already part of our Catholic school family or are new to our schools, we invite you to witness the Catholic school difference!
