Then as now the crowds are fickle in their enthusiasms. Let us not be swept away by any earthly enthusiasm but anchored in supernatural hope. Let us walk the way of the Cross in resolute hope, the only way that leads to Resurrection and eternal life.
Let the unlocking of the chapel and our entry into its interior be for us an expression of hope, hope for the endurance of religious liberty, now and always.

Let me just say, Msgr. Baker, what an honor it has been to work closely with you, and how indebted all of us are for your leadership in priestly formation. Most of all, you model in your own life what seek to instill in the lives of future priests, and for that reason the work you have done this past decade will live on here at the Mount and far beyond, ad multos annos!
