Now is the time for us to embrace our faith boldly and courageously, seeing it not as a limitation on our thought and freedom but rather as the opening of our minds to ultimate truth, goodness and beauty and as the path to freedom, freedom from constraints that sin places upon us.

The Lord gives himself to us in sacrificial love at every hour of every day as Holy Mass is celebrated on altars throughout the whole world. 

By participating in Holy Mass, we not only build up our own spiritual lives, we also contribute to the building up of Christ’s Body, the Church.

Last week, I had the joy and privilege of ordaining and installing the new Bishop of Wilmington, Bishop William Edward Koenig.

On this day of grace and joy, the hearts and prayers of all your friends are with you, as are the hearts and prayers of those whom you will serve in the years ahead.
