A voice is a precious thing. It is our primary way of communicating. We employ our voice to express our ideas and emotions, whether in ordinary conversation or in more public forms of speech.

Like the early Christian martyrs, the older I become the more I truly do realize that I cannot live without the power of his Sacrifice and the reality of his Presence. 

It is truly a joy to ordain these three deacons – Matt DeFusco, Matt Himes, and Tyler Kline – to the holy priesthood. I thank all of you gathered here this morning to share in this day of joy and grace, a day of blessing for our entire local Church, the Archdiocese of Baltimore.
