As we listen to the voice of Christ and sense his presence in the Scriptures, we too can experience the power of God’s Word that propelled Jonah to preach and we too can be convinced to repent as did the residents of Nineveh.

…it is only when we remain in the Lord and with the Lord, that we truly discover how we are truly called to advance the Kingdom of God on earth, his Kingdom of justice, love, and peace.

Through our prayers, our good example and our reasoned and compassionate involvement, we need to bring our country to the Lord Jesus for forgiveness, healing and renewal. 

If more us, who are disciples of the Lord and members of the Church would personify the values of the Gospel in our own lives, and then bring those same values into the public square, I am confident, that our democracy would not only survive but flourish.
