Pay more attention to puzzle clues

I realize it’s just a crossword puzzle, but the clue (14 across) that says the ACLU are “Protectors of the first amendment” could not be further from the truth. As you are well aware, they do all they can to remove any mention of religion from the public view.

Cardinal J. Francis Stafford made a stop in Emmitsburg before he attended Archbishop Edwin F. O’Brien’s Oct. 1 installation ceremony at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in Homeland. There, he prayed for the new Baltimore archbishop at the tombs of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and Archbishop James R. Bayley – two New York natives who served in the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

Crofton church wants to save creek

Just behind St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Crofton, wetlands form the headwaters of Beaver Creek. But since both the church and the community predate storm water management systems, storm water runoff has eroded the creek’s banks. That storm water also picks up pollutants when it crosses impervious surfaces, such as parking lots.
