Pray the rosary, pray for peace

The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops has advertised for a national prayer effort several times in national Catholic newspapers, such as Our Sunday Visitor. These ads call upon the laity to join them in praying for our leaders, our nation, and for the complete protection of religious liberty. Let’s get this organized the easy, holy and beautiful way in every parish.

Every parish has active lay groups. Ask each to assign themselves to one particular Mass each weekend. Be the group that prays the holy rosary for the intentions of the USCCB and for peace. Every youth group, young adult group, prayer group, Bible study group, pro-life group, parish council, Legion of Mary, Sodality, Holy Name and Knights of Columbus can be the group that leads the rosary before or after every scheduled Mass – time permitting.

Mary is the Queen of Peace, Jesus is the Prince of Peace and Pope Benedict has asked everyone to pray for peace! Don’t be indifferent or lukewarm. Visit prayforourleaders.net and heal the world with prayer.
