In the Sacrament of Confirmation, I will call down the fullness of the Holy Spirit upon those of you who are being confirmed.

As we praise the Lord for his manifold works, let us rejoice and take heart. Not only has the Lord poured forth his blessings upon us, he has entrusted us with being stewards of our common home, the earth which his good Spirit renews through our care and concern.

This morning I have the joy and privilege of ordaining nine men as deacons, nine men in priestly formation who, God willing, will be ordained priests next year.
