In July 2025, the Office of Family, Youth, and Young Adult Ministry hosted a series of webinars focused on the Catechumenate process and the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA). This is the third and final installment, focused on the adaptations of the catechumenate for children over the age of 7 and for teenagers.
Questions that arose during this session regarding how to make appropriate notations in the sacramental records books can be addressed by viewing the Archdiocese of Baltimore Handbook for Sacramental Records, provided via the Chancery office here: https://www.archbalt.org/chancery/parish-admin-resources/
The Archdiocese of Baltimore’s Institute for Evangelization is a new model for engagement with parishes seeking to realize their evangelizing mission more fully.
The Institute is composed of four offices that collaborate closely to ensure that support is never “one-size fits all” but can adapt to the changing needs of each parish community.
