Writer impressed by Legion priests

I am proud to say that my brother is a Legion priest. He is a good man who has not been “programmed,” but who has used his intellect, his spirit and his heart to discern the call of the Lord in his life.

Whenever I have been in the presence of one or more Legion priests I can say that I have felt the Holy Spirit present as in no other time of my life. It was especially evident when my brother professed his religious vows and when my family traveled to Rome for his ordination. The Legion is a truly special group of men. Never have I felt the same presence during my 16 years of Catholic education (School Sisters of Notre Dame and Jesuits), during the education of my children (School Sisters of Notre Dame, Franciscan Friars and Jesuits), or during the last 28 years that my husband and I have been active parishioners at St. Isaac Jogues, Carney.

I don’t belong to Regnum Christi. I am, however, a Catholic who has been inspired by the good works of the Legion and will continue to look at them as examples of the very holiest, most reverent priests. I am sure that the Lord will do the same!
