A funeral Mass for Ursuline Sister Consuelo Price, the longtime head of the Bishop Walsh School library, was to be offered April 21 at the Ursuline Motherhouse in Louisville, Ky. Sister Consuelo died April 19. She was 93.
Born in Wilmington, N.C., Sister Consuelo grew up in Cumberland, where she graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1937. After teaching in Indiana, Nebraska, South Carolina and Kentucky, Sister Consuelo returned to Cumberland in 1968 to direct Bishop Walsh School’s library, a position she held for 31 years.
