Thanks for work done on home

I wish to express my thanks and gratitude to the Archdiocese of Baltimore and the Micah Experience Group Workshop (CR, Aug. 6).I was one of the people chosen to have work done to my home. A group of five high school students and one adult did much-needed painting. They were pleasant, hard-working and a pleasure to be around. They came from all over the country and behaved as though they knew each other forever. Two were from Connecticut, one each from Michigan, Wisconsin, Maine and one from Crofton, a student at Archbishop Spalding. They were a spiritual group and prayed openly daily. We hear so many negative things about our youth, but they never met anyone like this wonderful group. A big thank you to Nick, who hopes to become a doctor; Tom, a teacher’ Leslie, a dental hygienist and two others, undecided on careers. Their leader, Chris O’Neill, an electrical engineer, gave up a week’s vacation to volunteer his services.

It was a job well done.
