St. Katharine School students and staff to be featured on CBS Sunday Morning

CBS correspondent Byron Pitts, a graduate of Baltimore’s St. Katharine School and Archbishop Curley High School, will be doing a story on literacy on CBS Sunday Morning Oct. 4 from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

St. Katharine second-grade student Aniya Walker will be featured, along with her mother, Sharita Walker, and her teacher, Jeniece Linton.

Pitts recently authored a book about his own struggle with literacy as a child, stuttering and his rise to network television. The book, “Step Out on Nothing: How Faith and Family Helped Me Conquer Life’s Challenges,” was released in mid-September.
