The 29th-annual Social Ministry Convocation will be held 8:15 a.m.-3 p.m. March 1 at The Seton Keough High School, Baltimore.
The event will include a social ministry fair complete with parish and social justice organization exhibits and an award ceremony.
Awards will be given to individuals who have been nominated by their pastors, who have shown an outstanding lifelong commitment to social justice ministry through a parish setting or in the broader community, and who are dedicated to international peace and development.
The event is co-hosted by the Catholic Campaign for Human Development; Catholic Charities; African-American Catholic Ministries; Pax Christi, Baltimore; Office of Hispanic Ministry; Murphy Initiative for Justice & Peace; Beyond the Boundaries; Catholic Relief Services; and St. Vincent de Paul, Baltimore.
Registration is $10 per person and lunch is provided for those who pre-register.
