A funeral Mass for Sister Joseph Miriam (Mary Elizabeth) Sheehan, S.P. was offered April 3. Sister Joseph died March 29. She was 88.
Sister Joseph entered the congregation of the Sister of Providence in 1936 and professed her final vows in 1945. She was a teacher and principal in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, North Carolina and New Hampshire.
Sister Joseph taught at Church of the Ascension, Halethorpe, from 1939-1941.
