Sister Helen gets standing ovation from legislators

Sister Helen Amos, R.S.M., executive chair, Board of Trustees for Mercy Health Services, was awarded The Speaker’s Medallion by the Honorable Michael E. Busch of the Maryland House of Delegates on Feb. 13.

In addition to her service to the Sisters of Mercy and Mercy Medical Center, she was lauded for her exemplary commitment to the community, including serving as chair of the board of the Downtown Partnership of Baltimore and co-chair of the Civic Leadership Council of Baltimore’s 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness. The entire Maryland General Election gave Sister Helen a standing ovation.
