Ron Paul is choice for pro-life, Republican candidate

I just read the article by Russell Shaw “No obvious choice for prolifers in 2008 election?” (CR, Nov. 29) and was surprised there was no mention of Ron Paul, a pro-life Republican candidate. Dr. Paul is an OB/GYN and states that in “40 years of medical practice, I have never once considered performing an abortion, nor did I ever find abortion necessary to save the life of a pregnant woman.” He also has authored H.R. 1094 and 1095 in Congress that define life as beginning at conception and would prevent federal funds to be used for abortion. He is the prime sponsor of H.R. 300 which would negate the effect of Roe v. Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life.

Despite the mainstream media and the Republican Party’s efforts to pretend that Dr. Paul doesn’t exist, he has gained grassroots and Internet support. Check out www.RonPaul2008.com for more info!
