LONDON – Catholic officials have applied for permission to exhume the body of a 19th-century cardinal whose cause for sainthood is expected to soon progress to beatification.

I read the article about the exorcist Father Jeremy Davies (CR, June 12). In that article he placed hatha yoga and yoga in general as dangerous. I have taken yoga classes on and off for a long time and none of my teachers or instruction books have ever claimed anything from doing the exercises other than it makes your body feel better.

Two farewell Masses will be held in the Archdiocese of Baltimore for Bishop W. Francis Malooly, who on Sept. 8 will be installed as the ninth Bishop of Wilmington, Del.

A funeral Mass for Sister Michael Marie Fitzpatrick, S.S.N.D., was offered July 6 at Villa Notre Dame in Wilton, Conn. Sister died on July 2; she was 84.

Saying he has been “warmly embraced” by the St. Maria Goretti High School community in Hagerstown, Richard Fairley is looking forward to getting to know the students, teachers and staff of the 230-student school.
