Lenten radio retreats offered in English and Spanish

A series of Lenten radio retreats is being offered to radio stations by the U.S. Bishop’s Catholic Communication Campaign in association with Franciscan Radio. The programs will also be streamed on the Internet for online listening and available in downloadable formats for saving and sharing.

The program is a half-hour and will help facilitate prayer and reflection. The retreats are among several Lenten resources available on the United State Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Web site, www.usccb.org/lent.

The programs can be downloaded from the Web site as MP3 files for podcast or other personal use.

There are six English and Spanish editions of the retreats, one in each language for each Sunday of Lent, beginning on Feb. 25. Each retreat program features a bishop guide and homilist.

Programs are offered to radio stations on compact disc, free of charge. Those who want to receive a set of programs or more information can contact Executive Producer Pat Ryan Garcia at 202-541-3404 or pgarcia@usccb.org.
