Heartfest honors Calvert Hall student

The 18th annual Heartfest, which will be held on Jan. 26 at Martin’s West, will honor, among others, Brady Vontran, the teenage heart patient who founded Brady’s Heart Foundation. Mr. Vontran is a senior at Calvert Hall College High School, Towson.

Heartfest 2008 will be hosted by Steve and Mindy Geppi; Mr. Geppi is president and chief executive officer of Diamond Comic Distributors Inc. and creator of the Geppi Entertainment Museum.

Tickets for Heartfest are $100, and the event is known for its entertainment – including music by the Heart Attackers, a band composed of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons – and for its hearth-healthy gourmet cuisine. Proceeds benefit the Johns Hopkins Ciccarone Preventive Cardiology Center, established in 1990 in memory of the legendary Johns Hopkins lacrosse coach Henry “Chic” Ciccarone. For ticket information, call 410-560-2230 or visit www.heartfest.org.
