Father Gildea named pastor of Our Lady of Fatima

Redemptorist Father Arthur Gildea, newly appointed pastor of Our Lady of Fatima in Baltimore, is no stranger to Charm City. From 2005 to 2007, he served as associate pastor of Our Lady of Fatima. He is also a former pastor of St. Wenceslaus in East Baltimore.

A Boston native, Father Gildea professed vows Aug. 2, 1962 and was ordained to the priesthood June 18, 1967. Other assignments included mission work in Paraguay and ministry at St. Mary’s High School in North East, Pa.

Father Gildea also ministered to migrants in Delaware and served at St. Clement Mission House, Ephrata, Pa.; St. John Neumann Residence, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; and St. Peter the Apostle, Philadelphia.
