Father Breighner is insightful, helpful

I just wanted to say thank you to Father Joseph Breighner for his spirituality columns over the years. He is the most insightful and helpful and down-to-earth writer I have read in a long time. “Give your fears and worries to God” (CR, March 1) made real sense. I will be keeping it to refer to. I think sometimes we forget we are all different but very much the same. I never thought of giving your failings to God. This is a good idea because by at my age I realize we are all works in progress. The idea of Lent I think is repentance and I sometimes think the language in church hides some of the meaning for those of us used to sound bites. Thank you, Father Breighner, for being such a loyal person of the spirit.
