Almost all events submitted – if they are sponsored by a Catholic parish, school or other organization in the Archdiocese of Baltimore – will be featured in the online calendar.
A human monitor will approve submissions for posting.
Events submitted by the first of the month prior to the month of the event may be considered for the print edition of Catholic Review magazine (e.g., by Jan. 1 for publication in the February magazine). So that all entities in the archdiocese have a fair opportunity to be listed in the limited space in the print publication, entities will be limited to no more than two in each calendar month print edition. If more than two have been submitted, Catholic Review Media staff will decide which items to publish, at their discretion.
Saint John Paul II Shrine to host special walking pilgrimage

Since 2019, the Shrine has hosted a special walking pilgrimage which draws up to 150 participants. Pilgrims will gather in Maryland and prayerfully walk to the shrine along a 7.5-mile route through Rock Creek Park. Parishes, school groups, families and individuals are invited to pray and sing in both English and Spanish. Tickets are $10 for individuals or $20 for families. https://www.jp2shrine.org/events/

• 8:30 am – 7.5-mile pilgrimage leaves from Christ the King Catholic Church at 2301 Colston Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20910
• 10 a.m. – Rest at Picnic Grove 6, Rock Creek Park; alternative 4.5-mile walk begins
• 12 p.m. – Rest at St. Gabriel Catholic Church at 26 Grant Cir NW, Washington, DC 20011; alternative 1.2-mile walk begins
• 1 p.m. – Arrive at the Saint John Paul II National Shrine at 3900 Harewood Road NE, Washington DC 20017
• 1:30 p.m. – Mass at the Saint John Paul II National Shrine
• 2:15 p.m. – Lunch
• 3 p.m. – Prayer at the Hour of Mercy and the Sacrament of Reconciliation
