Almost all events submitted – if they are sponsored by a Catholic parish, school or other organization in the Archdiocese of Baltimore – will be featured in the online calendar.
A human monitor will approve submissions for posting.
Events submitted by the first of the month prior to the month of the event may be considered for the print edition of Catholic Review magazine (e.g., by Jan. 1 for publication in the February magazine). So that all entities in the archdiocese have a fair opportunity to be listed in the limited space in the print publication, entities will be limited to no more than two in each calendar month print edition. If more than two have been submitted, Catholic Review Media staff will decide which items to publish, at their discretion.

The Revolution of Openness: Experiencing Grief and Loss in a New Era
The concept of grieving the loss of loved ones as a journey allows human beings to understand the healing process in stages, with accompanying tasks, and with needs that are both universal and unique. Yet there are many faces to grief and many ways of expressing it. Living in a post pandemic world, grieving as we know it has changed in innumerable ways. As we continue to emerge and move into this new era of living, our experiences of loss, change, and transitions — both as individuals and in communities — have been incredibly impacted. This compels us to intentionally recognize our emotions and reflect upon our experiences to heal and move forward in empowered ways. And, in solidarity with each other, we can bravely make steps toward openness to the powerful transformation these losses and our grief work can lead us to.
Join us for this one-day retreat as we gather together for deep listening, meaningful dialogue, and other contemplative exercises as a means of expressing our grief. Various resources will be offered to uplift participants on their journey as they consider their respective stories. Additionally, opportunities for considering some of the sacred tasks inherent to grieving the loss of loved ones and other significant transitions will be included. Please bring along a journal for use during the retreat. Lunch is included. Guided by Gordon Creamer.
