Death by robo-call

I write to announce the newest cause for sainthood, not only an American, but someone from the Archdiocese of Baltimore: Thomas P. Sheahen, confessor.

I suffered the equivalent of martyrdom during the primary election season, in that I listened to more than 100 robo-calls urging me to vote for assorted candidates. In all that time, the intensity of which peaked on April 1 and, I did not utter even one swear word.

Surely the entire American church can rejoice over this magnificent example of sainthood in action; and I haven’t even died yet – even though the candidates strove to kill me by elocution.
