City aids and abets Planned Parenthood deception

Amen Archbishop O’Brien! Your column (CR, April 15) headlined “Bait and Switch” hit a bull’s-eye, pointing out the cynical deception of the life-affirming series of photos in the Howard Street windows of Planned Parenthood, Maryland’s largest abortion provider. Planned Parenthood also successfully pressured the Baltimore City Council and Mayor Rawlings-Blake to pass an ordinance requiring pregnancy counseling centers to post signs stating they do not provide abortion services or referrals or birth control. Baltimore City did not require abortion-providing clinics to also post signs stating what services they do not provide, such as adoption services or referrals for adoption. God bless the Archdiocese of Baltimore for filing a federal lawsuit March 29, challenging this blatant unfairness. Will Baltimore’s City Council and mayor voluntarily correct the unfairness caused by their one-sided ordinance? Or, will they be forced to balance the scale of justice by a possible Federal Court ruling? I will pray that divine intervention will guide them.
