Catholic Review staffers launch blog

For the inside scoop on how The Catholic Review is produced each week, along with first-person insights from the eight-member news staff, Catholic Review readers can now access a newly launched blog on the newspaper’s Web site, www.catholicreview.org.

The blog focuses on the daily joys and challenges of Catholic journalism, while also giving the news staff the chance to share commentary, anecdotes and tidbits not published in the newspaper.

Daniel Medinger, editor, said the blog will give readers the opportunity to get to know the correspondents, photographer and editors of the paper.

“Blogs have become a very important part of the news business,” said Mr. Medinger. “Readers like to know the writers, and they like to hear the story behind the story. The new Catholic Review blog will give each member of our news staff a means of informing readers about important issues and events from a new perspective.”

New blogs are posted every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and readers may also post comments on the site upon review. Blogs and comments will be archived.
