Catholic Accounting Services

Catholic Accounting Services (CAS) is a subdivision of the Division of Fiscal Services, which provides an outsourcing alternative to parishes and schools for their accounting and administrative needs. CAS specializes in bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, financial report generation, and budget analysis.

Catholic Accounting Services was established in 2004 and currently provides accounting and administrative services to approximately 30 locations.

Each accounting specialist is responsible for organizing, coordinating, and controlling the fiscal operations of assigned parishes and schools. They work closely with pastors and/or principals to ensure proper stewardship of financial and physical resources of each location.

We offer a free, no obligation consultation to evaluate the needs of your parish or school. What are the benefits?

Catholic Accounting Services is designed with the client’s needs in mind. Our goal is to ensure that all financial aspects of the parish or school are completed according to Archdiocesan policy. We work onsite at the school or parish to perform our services. Also, all financial and procedural information is completed professionally and reviewed for accuracy monthly. All CAS staff is available by office phone, cell phone and email. Each staff member is responsible for three locations in order to provide individual attention to specific needs of each school or parish. Each CAS staff member is educated in QuickBooks Online and ADP, which the Archdiocese has recommended for all schools and parishes. References of other locations using Catholic Accounting Services are available upon request.

Who are the members of Catholic Accounting Services?

CAS is lead by Tracy Palmer, Catholic Services Accounting Manager for the Archdiocese of Baltimore, and staffed by John Geldmacher, Diane Glenn, Edward McKay, Peggy Sleeper, Norma Wagner, and John Watts.
