Another critic of school aid for non-Catholics

I agree wholeheartedly with Larry Bonkowski’s letter, “School aid should go to Catholics” (CR, June 24). I do a slow burn every time I hear that we supplement the education of non-Catholics. We made sacrifices to ensure that our Catholic children could attend Catholic schools. My husband worked two jobs and we only had one car, no microwave and no dishwasher for 20 years. I feel bad for the Catholics who want to send their children to Catholic schools today but can’t afford the tuition, while non-Catholic children get free tuition or tuition assistance.
