Almost all events submitted – if they are sponsored by a Catholic parish, school or other organization in the Archdiocese of Baltimore – will be featured in the online calendar.
A human monitor will approve submissions for posting.
Events submitted by the first of the month prior to the month of the event may be considered for the print edition of Catholic Review magazine (e.g., by Jan. 1 for publication in the February magazine). So that all entities in the archdiocese have a fair opportunity to be listed in the limited space in the print publication, entities will be limited to no more than two in each calendar month print edition. If more than two have been submitted, Catholic Review Media staff will decide which items to publish, at their discretion.

We invite everyone to enjoy the Clarksville Picnic—the oldest picnic in Maryland and one of the largest parish festivals in the Archdiocese of Baltimore. In 2026, we celebrate the 148th year of this beloved tradition!
What began as a simple harvest celebration has grown into a can’t-miss summer event featuring:
• Live music
• Famous White Elephant (Howard County’s largest yard sale!) [Sales start Wed, June 17]
• 50/50 cash raffle, quilt raffle & silent auction
• Kids’ games, bounce houses & rock climbing wall
• The ever-popular Swan Ride
• Pony & Hay Rides
• Bingo, cake stand, plant sale, and so much more!
At the heart of it all is our iconic meal tent, serving thousands each year with our famous fried chicken dinner—complete with a legendary cucumber salad recipe that’s been a Picnic staple for over 60 years.
This event is powered by hundreds of dedicated volunteers—many families returning year after year—making it a true celebration of faith, community, and local history. Bring your family, invite your friends, and be part of this joyful tradition.
