Sister Mary James Keating, C.B.S., dies

 

A funeral Mass for Sister of Bon Secours Mary James Keating was offered Jan. 23 at the Sisters of Bon Secours chapel in Marriottsville. Sister Mary died Jan. 17. She was 94.

A native of Bethlehem, Pa., Sister Mary entered the Sisters of Bon Secours in 1942.

Sister Mary served as a nurse at Bon Secours health care facilities, including in Baltimore. She also served in Michigan, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

She was also a radiology technician.

Since 2005, Sister Mary resided at Marian Hall in Marriottsville. A gardener, she tended to plants at the residence.

Sister Mary earned a degree in nursing from the Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing in Richmond, Va.
