Nurse of the year announced

St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore, announced that Ann Stromberg, R.N., is the hospital’s 2007 Nurse of the Year. Ms. Stromberg was chosen from a number of nominees who exhibit excellence in the application of evidence-based practice, initiative, advocacy, team support and in projecting a positive image of nursing.

“As a nurse that has practiced in the profession for many years, Ann is able to provide reassurance of possible upcoming procedures, maintain high standards of practice pertaining to nurses and provide the simple comforts only an experienced nurse can offer,” said Dodie Munford, vice president of inpatient nursing services at St. Agnes. “She is a patient, polite, thoughtful and focused nurse.”
