New pastors among 27 clergy assignments in Baltimore Archdiocese

UPDATED – Twelve new pastors and four retirements were among the official clergy announcements made by Archbishop William E. Lori for the Archdiocese of Baltimore June 9.
One of the largest such announcements in the archdiocese in years, it includes 25 priests and three deacons. Most of the assignments take effect June 30 or July 1.
The announcement includes seven priests of the archdiocese changing pastoral assignments, six across county lines, and the elevation of two others from administrator to pastor. The assignments impact all but two jurisdictions in the archdiocese, Allegany and Garrett counties.

Reverend Mark Bialek
from Pastor of Resurrection of Our Lord, Laurel, to Pastor of St. John, Westminster. Effective July 1.
Reverend Jesse Bolger
from Pastor of St. Clare, Essex, to Pastor of St. Joseph, Fullerton. Effective July 1.
Monsignor James Farmer
from Pastor of St. John, Westminster, to Pastor of St. Thomas More, Baltimore. Effective July 1.
Reverend Richard Gray
from Pastor of St. Thomas More, Baltimore, to Pastor of St. Clare, Essex. Effective July 1.

Reverend Timothy Klunk
from Pastor of Our Lady of Victory, Arbutus, to Pastor of Our Lady of Sorrows, West River. Effective Aug. 23.

Reverend Michael Murphy
from Administrator of St. Joseph’s Monastery Parish, Irvington, to Pastor of St. Joseph’s Monastery Parish. Effective July 1.

Father Martin Nocchi
from administrator of St. Pius X, Rodgers Forge, to Pastor of St. Pius X, while continuing as pastor of St. Mary of the Assumption, in Govans. Effective July 1.
