Glyndon parishioner organizes cancer fundraiser

Beth Garbolino, a parishioner of Sacred Heart, Glyndon, and area executive director of the American Cancer Society’s South Atlantic Division, is the event organizer for the 13th annual Taste For Life, which will be held at the Lyric July 29. 

The event features local ingredients and renowned chefs from Baltimore, among them: Brad Willits of B&O American Brasserie; Winston Blick of Clementine; Jerry Edwards of Chef’s Expressions Catering; and Galen Sampson of The Dogwood Restaurant.

The event, which includes live and silent auctions and live entertainment, runs from 2 to 6 p.m. Tickets are $90 person, and all proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society’s programs and services for cancer patients and their caregivers, education, research and advocacy.
