Jerry Wachter’s letter “Temper rhetoric” (CR, Sept. 17) needs clarification. Abortion is not an “issue.” It is murder, plain and simple. We are Catholics first and Americans second, if we have any hope for securing our eternity with almighty God. In addition, our Constitution clearly advances the principles of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, all of which are denied the pre-born.
Abortion is intrinsically evil – no agonizing necessary.
