Almost all events submitted – if they are sponsored by a Catholic parish, school or other organization in the Archdiocese of Baltimore – will be featured in the online calendar.


A human monitor will approve submissions for posting.


Events submitted by the first of the month prior to the month of the event may be considered for the print edition of Catholic Review magazine (e.g., by Jan. 1 for publication in the February magazine). So that all entities in the archdiocese have a fair opportunity to be listed in the limited space in the print publication, entities will be limited to no more than two in each calendar month print edition. If more than two have been submitted, Catholic Review Media staff will decide which items to publish, at their discretion.

Timeless Masterpieces – An Organ Concert by Daniel Aune

Former Dean of the Baltimore Chapter of the American Organists Guild, Dr. Daniel Aune is the Director of the Organ Studio at the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in organ performance as well as a Master of Music degree in harpsichord, a Sacred Music Diploma and a doctoral minor in composition.

Daniel Aune has been the Director of Music and Organist at Christ Lutheran Church since 2011, where he leads the choral and instrumental programs, as well as the Hafenmusik: Music by the Harbor concert series.

Aune has been published in the Eastman Organ Book and has also composed choral anthems and hymn arrangements for organ, brass, and choir. His competition credits are lengthy: including first prize in both the Rodland Memorial Scholarship Competition and the San Marino Competitions. Aune also was awarded the first-ever Lecture-Recital Prize at Eastman for his thesis “Johann Sebastian Bach’s Leipzig Chorales: New Thoughts on Their Development and Function.”
