Almost all events submitted – if they are sponsored by a Catholic parish, school or other organization in the Archdiocese of Baltimore – will be featured in the online calendar.
A human monitor will approve submissions for posting.
Events submitted by the first of the month prior to the month of the event may be considered for the print edition of Catholic Review magazine (e.g., by Jan. 1 for publication in the February magazine). So that all entities in the archdiocese have a fair opportunity to be listed in the limited space in the print publication, entities will be limited to no more than two in each calendar month print edition. If more than two have been submitted, Catholic Review Media staff will decide which items to publish, at their discretion.

On Wednesday, May 20th the St. Ignatius Interfaith Ministry will present Belfast, a semi-autobiographical, black-and-white coming-of-age drama written and directed by Kenneth Branagh. Set in 1969, it follows 9-year-old Buddy (Jude Hill) navigating childhood innocence, family, and first love amid the escalating sectarian violence of “The Troubles” in Northern Ireland.
• Plot: Buddy’s working-class family—his mother (Caitríona Balfe), father (Jamie Dornan), and grandparents (Judi Dench, Ciarán Hinds)—struggle with the decision to stay in their community or emigrate as violence surrounds them.
• Accolades: The film received seven Academy Award nominations, winning Best Original Screenplay. The film is a tribute to Belfast, acknowledging both “those who stayed” and “those who left” during a turbulent era, anchored by music from Van Morrison.
