Almost all events submitted – if they are sponsored by a Catholic parish, school or other organization in the Archdiocese of Baltimore – will be featured in the online calendar.
A human monitor will approve submissions for posting.
Events submitted by the first of the month prior to the month of the event may be considered for the print edition of Catholic Review magazine (e.g., by Jan. 1 for publication in the February magazine). So that all entities in the archdiocese have a fair opportunity to be listed in the limited space in the print publication, entities will be limited to no more than two in each calendar month print edition. If more than two have been submitted, Catholic Review Media staff will decide which items to publish, at their discretion.
Annual Live Nativity
December 12 @ 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm EST
Join St. John the Evangelist in Severna Park on Saturday, Dec. 12, for a remarkable experience your whole family will enjoy. From 6:15—7:30p.m., Larsen Field will be transformed into a prayerful, peaceful journey to Bethlehem with Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Prepare your hearts for the joy of Christmas as you meet everyone from that Holy Night, either in person or through sacred art. And no manger scene would be complete without a stable full of animals! Bishop St. Nicholas will be waiting to greet you and share a gift! There will be a quiet Adoration tent where you can spend time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Everyone is invited to leave a prayer request; our priests and seminarian will pray for you during Advent. Then, end the beautiful night with fellowship, hot cocoa and cookies with friends around a bonfire.
Teens in 8th grade and older are invited to join the cast. Contact Jeanette Middleton-Sudano at mailto:Jeanette.middleton@comcast.net. Adults, teens, families are needed to help set up, greet, or clean up. Contact Kathy at adoration@stjohnsp.org.
