Almost all events submitted – if they are sponsored by a Catholic parish, school or other organization in the Archdiocese of Baltimore – will be featured in the online calendar.

A human monitor will approve submissions for posting.

Events submitted by the first of the month prior to the month of the event may be considered for the print edition of Catholic Review magazine (e.g., by Jan. 1 for publication in the February magazine). So that all entities in the archdiocese have a fair opportunity to be listed in the limited space in the print publication, entities will be limited to no more than two in each calendar month print edition. If more than two have been submitted, Catholic Review Media staff will decide which items to publish, at their discretion.

Feast Day of Our Lady of Sorrows

August 26 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EDT

Join us!
In honor of the feast day of Our Lady of Sorrows on September 15, The Dorothea Project is hoping to gather 1000 Catholics in Washington, DC to process together and bring the sorrows of Our Lady to Congress. Our Lady of Sorrows is the mother who stands beside all who suffer: her 7 sorrows reflect the pain experienced today by our immigrant brothers and sisters – families separated, communities living in fear, and human dignity threatened. As Catholics, we are called not only to pray, but to accompany, advocate and make visible the suffering Christ in our midst.

Event Details
● 10:00 AM Mass at St. Peter’s Church on Capitol Hill
● Prayerful procession to a nearby park for a speaker rally
● Dismissal to head to Congressional buildings to bear witness to the sorrows of Our Lady
and the injustices facing immigrants today

The Dorothea Project is a community of Catholic women shaped by Catholic Social Teaching
and called to speak truth and defend human dignity. Rooted in this tradition, our mission is to
stand with those who suffer and to bring Christ’s compassion into the heart of public life.
