The Archdiocese of Baltimore (“we,” “our,” “us”) offers optional SMS text messaging to help parishioners stay connected.
By texting a published keyword to any of our Twilio reserved numbers +1‑XXX‑XXX‑XXXX (the “Service”), you consent to receive automated SMS messages related to the keyword you texted.

Standard disclosure: Message & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies by keyword. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.

How to Opt In (VIA_TEXT)

We advertise keywords in our printed and digital parish bulletins. To opt in, text one of the keywords below to +1‑XXX‑XXX‑XXXX.

Confirmation & Recurring Messages

• JOIN: You will receive an opt‑in confirmation and periodic parish update texts.
• BULLETIN / GROUPS / PRAYER: You receive a one‑time reply fulfilling your request (e.g., link or confirmation). You can text the keyword again anytime.
• All replies include instructions to reply STOP to unsubscribe and HELP for assistance.

Fees & Frequency

• Fees: Message and data rates may apply.
• Frequency: Varies by keyword and parish activity (e.g., JOIN = periodic; BULLETIN = on demand).

Opt‑Out & Help

• Opt‑Out: Text STOP to +1‑XXX‑XXX‑XXXX at any time to stop all messages from us. You will receive a one‑time confirmation message.
• Help: Text HELP for help. You may also contact us at helpdesk@archbalt.org or call 410-547-5555.

Eligibility & Consent

• You must be the mobile account holder or have the account holder’s permission to enroll.
• By texting a keyword, you provide express consent to receive SMS messages related to that keyword from us at the mobile number you used.
• Service intended for U.S. mobile numbers. Must be 13+; parental involvement recommended for minors.

Privacy & Data Use

We use your mobile number to provide the Service you request (e.g., send a bulletin link, confirm a prayer intention, or deliver parish updates).
We do not sell your mobile number. For details on how we handle personal information, please see our

• Data we may process: your mobile number, message content (e.g., your keyword or prayer intention), timestamps, delivery status.
• Retention: kept only as long as needed for the Service, legal, security, and record‑keeping purposes.

Service Limitations

• Delivery may be delayed or unavailable based on your carrier/network conditions.
• Some carriers or devices may not support toll‑free SMS.
• We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time with reasonable notice where required.

Carrier Disclosures

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may vary.
