Cardinal Keeler Celebrates Mass to Mark One Year Anniversary of Death of Pope John Paul II

Cardinal William H. Keeler, Archbishop of Baltimore, will celebrate a Mass to mark the first anniversary of the death of Pope John Paul II on Sunday, April 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, located at Chester Street and Eastern Avenue in Fells Point. Holy Rosary’s pastor, Fr. Richard Philiposki, S.Ch. will concelebrate the Mass.

Cardinal Keeler will bless and dedicate a statue of the late Holy Father, which the parish has acquired, following the Mass.

Pope John Paul II died on April 2, 2005.

The late pontiff visited Holy Rosary in 1976 as Archbishop of Krakow. Holy Rosary has a large Polish community, offering weekday and weekend Masses in Polish.
