Archdiocese of Baltimore leaders to attend the Jubilee for Catechists and Religion Teachers in Rome

Three Archdiocese of Baltimore representatives will be attending the Jubilee for Catechists and Religion Teachers in Rome, Italy on December 9th and 10th. They are Dr. Ronald J. Valenti, Executive Director of Catholic Education Ministries and Superintendent of Schools, Ms. Carol Augustine, Director of Religious Education, and Mr. Mark Pacione, Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry.

Dr. Valenti is a resident of Bel Air. Mr. Pacione is a resident of Forest Hill. Ms. Augustine is a resident of Perry Hall, MD.

An international study program will be a feature component of the event, involving an intensive exploration of evangelization and catechisis instruction for non-Catholics who are preparing to be baptized in the church. This program will include talks by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and Monsignor Csaba Ternyak, Archbishop Secretary of the Congregation of the Clergy.

Baltimore native J. Francis Cardinal Stafford will celebrate the closing mass on December 10th. Other events include Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica and an audience with the pope.
