Saturday, August 9, 10 a.m. – 2p.m., a gun buyback will be held at Westside Shopping Center at 2413 Frederick Avenue in Southwest Baltimore. The gun buyback will be hosted by the Archdiocese of Baltimore, the Baltimore City Police Department, St. Joseph’s Monastery Parish and the Health by Southwest coalition.
By removing deadly weapons from the streets, this event seeks to foster a stronger sense of peace in the community. This no-questions-asked, drive-up program will offer cash for handguns, rifles, shotguns and assault weapons. Event will continue while funds last.
In the last two years, the Catholic community raised more than $100,000 to get 646 guns off the street and support the families of homicide victims through the Archdiocese’s Grief Ministry.
