It happened during a retreat at St. Joseph Church. The late Father John Delclos (CR, May 10) was finishing up his moving sermon (Father’s words always could touch your heart) when a few impatient parishioners got up and started to leave. Father John in a gentle voice addressed them in this way, “ Oh ,I am so sorry you are leaving I have so many more wonderful things to tell you about the Lord, and now you will miss them.”
And now Father John, so many of us miss you.
