Bronchodilator “General Use” Plan

Bronchodilator General Use Plan

The Department of Catholic Schools in conjunction with the Office of Risk Management has developed further guidance on the General Use Bronchodilator administration.   We ask that all AOB schools implement this plan for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. All schools having General Use Bronchodilators available for administration must complete the attached plan document, maintain the document on file, and return to the Office of Risk Management Appendix H including the responsible administrator and responsible medical staff member’s signatures. This Appendix should be returned to Risk Management prior to making the General Use Bronchodilators available at your school. It is critical that both the responsible administrator and health professional carefully review the entire plan document.   If you have any questions, please contact the Director of Student Support Services at Kathleen.russogarcia@archbalt.org or the Director of Risk Management at talban@archbalt.org

To complete the form

  1. Insert school name or logo above the title of the form.
  2. Complete the information requested on all Appendices.
  3. Submit the completed form to BOTH Kathleen.russogarcia@archbalt.org and riskmanagement@archbalt.org

Bronchodilator General Use Plan

Each school is encouraged to make available the General Use Bronchodilator program at your school. Having this medication available in the event of a child experiencing a respiratory crisis can make a significant impact as to the support that can be promptly provided for that student.  Please note that students with known respiratory issues, parents are to provide the school with their own supply.
