National Eucharistic Pilgrimage – Emmitsburg/Baltimore

Emmitsburg

Mass with Archbishop Lori at the National Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.).

Mass immediately followed by Solemn Eucharistic Procession through Emmitsburg (9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.). Planned stops for brief prayer at Mother Seton School, Seton Center, St. Joseph Church. Some portions of the route are not wheelchair accessible. Total distance 1.4 miles.

Enjoy a meal on the beautiful grounds at the home of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton (12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.). All lunch options will be available for purchase or bring your own food. Indoor space available in case of rain. Please RSVP if you are interested in attending this portion of the day. Bring chairs or picnic blankets to eat outside.

Walk in Mother Seton’s footsteps (1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.). Walking pilgrimage on to the campus of Mount St. Mary’s University and Seminary, ending at the National Shrine Grotto of Lourdes. Join for the full 3.5 mile walk or for only a part of it. Planned stops for brief prayer at Mt. St. Mary’s University, Mt. St. Mary’s Seminary, and St. Anthony Shrine parish. Please wear walking shoes, bring water, and dress for the weather, rain or shine.

 

Baltimore

Vespers and Eucharistic preacher (Fr. Leo Patalinghug) at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen (6:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.). Prayer will be outdoors on concrete plaza in front of the Cathedral. Recommend bringing your own blanket or kneeling pad.

“Plating Grace” food truck. Bring your own folding chair or blanket. (6:45 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., pre-purchase meal tickets online at  https://platinggrace.regfox.com/nepfrleo).
