Join us in celebrating St. Ann’s Center’s history and mission as we honor noted Catholic leader and educator Sister Mary Bader, D.C., for her decades of positive impact in the DMV area.
Sister Mary served as St. Ann’s CEO from 2005 through 2023, when she was called by the Daughters of Charity (her religious community) to serve in a new leadership role as a member of the order’s Provincial Council in St. Louis, MO. In Baltimore she served as principal of Mother Seton Academy, a Nativity Model, tuition-free middle school for boys and girls. Arriving two years after the school opened, Sister Mary was privileged to be part of an innovative school that had been founded by 6 religious communities who collaborated in bringing a strong holistic education to an underserved community.
