Hope further away for unborn

Ralph Moore (CR, Jan. 15) likens Barack Obama to Moses, Elijah, Elisha and John the Baptist. A “prophet,” speaking for God, would not stand by while millions of innocent lives are terminated. Under President Obama, abortions will increase and laws that were enacted to restrict abortions will decrease; hardly what John the Baptist had in mind! How sad that our first African-American president vehemently disregards the unborn. The “certainty of his vision” includes a promise to Planned Parenthood to sign the Freedom of Choice Act, which will force Catholic hospitals to abandon the church’s position on the sanctity of human life. Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in America, has 78 percent of its clinics in minority communities. No surprise as founder Margaret Sanger created the Negro Project to sterilize unknowing black women and others she deemed undesirable to society. She said, “Colored people are like human weeds and are to be exterminated.” The “certainty of her vision” will be fulfilled through politicians like Barack Obama. In the words of Martin Luther King’s niece, Alveda King, “Abortion, like slavery, is based on the lie that certain human beings aren’t entitled to basic human rights because they aren’t fully human.” Millions of voices are crying out from their mothers’ wombs! You speak of hope, Mr. Moore, but hope has never been further away for the unborn.
